Pricing for Commissioned Artwork
Oil on Linen Canvas
• Head and Shoulder (bust) – $7,500
• Full or 3/4 Length (showing arms and hands) – $10,500
• Three subjects, full length – $12,300
• Montage Portraits – $7,500 and up
• An additional $900 per subject for each painting
Size of the canvas does not affect price except in
the case of very large works (more than 72 inches). Please call for quotes. A
one third deposit is due at the time of the photo shoot. The balance due only
upon your complete satisfaction with the work. All work is unconditionally guaranteed.
We may not be the most expensive portrait artists out there but we believe the
quality of our work is second to none.
Patrick Soper will travel to your home for initial meeting and photo session,
returning to his studio to execute a pencil sketch to scale of the final portrait
for your approval before starting on the finished canvas. If your home is within
reasonable driving distance Mr. Soper will need compensation only for travel
expenses and mileage. More than 4 hours driving time away an airline flight with
an overnight stay is the norm. All effort will be made to keep these costs to
a minimum and can be discussed ahead of time.
Incorporating various aspects of your residence, i.e. furnishings, garden
settings, etc. will add a personal touch to your portrait. As with all work done
by Soper Studio you are under no obligation to accept the finished painting until
you are completely satisfied with it. A portrait is an important and enduring
acquisition, and quality of work should be the first consideration.
